…the Gold Challenge!
The countdown to the London 2012 Olympics has begun – with today marking one year to go until the start.
I got very excited seeing the sights of the new Aquatics centre which has been on the news today. The buzz is only going to grow – and it got me thinking about ways you can feel a part of the Olympics.
If you have been watching the Born to Shine Save the Children TV series you will have seen brilliantly talented children showing their expertise, with celebrities then learning these new skills.
If you want to take part in new Olympic sports to see what you were born to shine at (or maybe just have a crack at!) the Gold Challenge is for you…
Rise to the challenge
Try your hand at different Olympic sports, as an individual, group, family or company. You can tailor your sports and challenge to suit you, and can make it as testing (or not!) as you wish.
Always wondered what fencing is like? Or maybe taekwondo? Try new Olympic sport or take your existing skills to a higher level.
There’s other brilliant ways you can challenge yourself – like taking on the 2012 kilometres challenge or by doing the Gold Challenge time trail.
You can see the different ways you can build your challenge on the Gold Challenge website.
A lot has been said about the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic games; by fundraising for Save the Children through the Gold Challenge, this would give the children we work with, a future and the chance to fulfil their potential.
