Protecting children in war: Help us make a difference
‘All wars are waged against children’
Devastating explosive weapons such as missiles used in populated areas are putting children and their families in terrible danger. Your support is helping to protect children in war.
Iraq’s children are not forgotten – thanks to you
A safe place for learning can transform the life of a child caught up in conflict. In Iraq, your support is ensuring our mobile education tents can help children recover from the trauma of war and get their lives back on track.
Help us protect children in war.
In Mosul and surrounding areas, you’re helping us to provide food, water and shelter for children and their families fleeing from Islamic State (IS). Because of your incredible support, we can get emergency supplies to children trapped in war zones like Mosul in as little as 12 hours.
Noora’s story
‘My children haven’t been to school in a long time. Aayiz* (12) hasn’t been to school for three years and Zain* (8) has never been at all! The children want to learn and we need them to study so they can do well in the future.’
Noora* lives in a tent with her three children in a refugee camp in Iraq. We’re recruiting teachers and putting up temporary learning spaces so thousands of children like Noora’s can go back to school.
