I joined Save the Children in Paisley in 1984 at a time when Ethiopia was experiencing a famine. At present I’m secretary of the Branch, support the shop once a month and go around schools giving talks and raising funds. I was a Primary Head Teacher and retired in January 2009 (18 months early!). I’m married, have 2 children and a lovely granddaughter. I play badminton and golf and seem to be busier than ever.
